Long Day

Today was a long day. Been really busy, had lots of stuff to do for school and some extra-curricular stuff. Didn't stop me from making a post today though! Check em out and tell me what you think!

So I'm wearing a red long sleeved shirt from Giordano over here and have my Von Dutch Jacket on my back.

Check out my Wrangler pants I bought last weekend! :)

Dramatic enough? LOL

Check out the my McJim Bag I got last weekend too!

A lot on my mind right now...

Here's a collage!

Feel free to let me know what you think! :) The day is nearly over, thank God! Been a long day.... Peace.

Comeback #1

So, I've decided to start writing and "dressing up" again. See where this will lead me, and so here's what I wore today.

I'm wearing my gray Keds again after so long, I don't really know why I stopped wearing them, personally I think they look nice! I also put on my dark red pants I got from SM Moa, the department store there, along with the belt in that picture. My black v-neck is from Robinson's. My shades are from Vans, and finally, the white polo is from Giordano! It's not really that fashionable but I don't know, good enough for me!

Thinking of cutting my hair... I don't know what style to use yet though. So yeah, this is my comeback into dressing up. Not very fashionable lots would say, but well think I care? Good enough for me! Peace.

13 Reasons Why

So I finished the book, "13 Reasons Why." about a week ago and here's my take on the book!  WARNING MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS.

So what is the book about? Well, from what I got, it's about this girl, Hannah Baker who committed suicide. Before that, she sent out 13 tapes as to why she committed suicide. Those 13 tapes make its way to a guy named Clay Jensen, who finds out that he is part of the 13 tapes. The whole night, Clay listens to all 13 tapes. Clay then discovers certain things about Hannah that will change Clay's life forever.

Sadly, I would have to say that the book did not live up to the hype. I have been hearing lots of great reviews from this book. People would say, "It's definitely a must read" or "Such a great book" and such. While I wouldn't say that its not a must read or its not great. I'm just saying, I expected more from all the great praise.

I would say it was an "alright" book. Nothing special. Now one would ask, "What didn't you like about it?" First of, I found the way Clay acted towards Hannah, a bit annoying. Whatever Clay heard on the tapes, he believed. He'd get mad at whoever Hannah talked about, he obviously listened to the tapes with bias in his mind. I don't blame him, that's because he was madly in love with Hannah, but I still found how Clay acted to be annoying. Secondly, the way Hannah would treat herself, or see herself. Especially towards the end. She mentions that she's been thinking about suicide, yet she doesn't do anything, and let the bad things happen to her. Bad things that just push her more towards suicide. If not that, then Hannah would do the obviously wrong thing to do. An action that would obviously end up bad if you just stop to think about it. It was given an impression that Hannah was a smart girl, she would've figured it out. I'm not some heartless man here, don't get me wrong. Some of the people she mentioned on the tapes were actually genuine jerks and Hannah couldn't have done anything to stop it. Did she at least try? Yes, and that is what was admirable. Some parts of the book that got on my nerve, I had just pointed out and those were mainly the reason why, for me, the book did not live up to the hype.

Wanna share your thoughts? Feel free to comment! I bought a book called, "Fight Club" by Chuck Palahniuk awhile ago will start tomorrow! Heard some good things about it and I'm hoping it would live up to the hype! Peace.

Thrifty?

So, this is what I wore to school last Monday (I know, I know, such a late post.) This look was inspired by a person named Clement Lassarre. (Check his look out here! http://lookbook.nu/look/3618343-Through-Your-Eyes) anyway, I did my own version of it. Less dramatic though... shot was taken in my room and not in the outdoor!

So here is a whole body pic of my look! as you can see, I kinda copied the look... actually, not kinda, I copied it a lot! I call this, "Thrifty?" I added the question mark, because I want you to be the one to decide.

Freego brown skinnies from Robinson's Department Store (P700)
Doc Martens boots from a bazaar (P1500) (btw, I checked if they were original just to find out. They are!)

Cross and Watch given as a gift. Red, White, and Black bracelet bought at the Supersale Bazaar (P50)

Gray Beanie from Pop Culture (P100)
Red round-neck T-Shirt from Whoops (got this as a set, 3 colors for P500)

Light Brown Rucksack from Flying Dutchman (P999)

So, that's it! picture's not so dramatic, sorry about that! Tell me what you think! Were these good things to buy? Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas. Peace.

A Great 11th

I know this is really late but haven't had the time till now! 4 days ago, was very special to me! It was my 11th monthsary with my girlfriend! (Hi Coleen!). We had a great dinner at the Mona Lisa in Alabang! The place was amazing! Some people would say it's a bit too pricey but I beg to differ. When I celebrated with my girlfriend there, we ordered a Miguelito (something) Panizze and this kind of vegetarian lasagna. Frankly, the Panizze itself would have been enough. Unfortunately, I don't remember the price, I can tell you this though, IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY! The lasagna was also irresistible, when the waiter laid it down on our table, I couldn't take my eyes off it and just had to try it! It was delicious, I guarantee that your money wont be wasted on a dish like that! I almost forgot to mention, their complimentary bread! Just thought I should mention it here as well, it was too good to leave out. I mentioned that some people would say this place is too "pricey." I also said that I beg to differ, why? I believe you can't put a price on great food, great service, and a great time.

Oh but this blog isn't a review on Mona Lisa, I'm just letting you guys take a look into my world! What I wore that day, was kind of experimental to be honest... I really wanted to try a new outfit and well... what do you think?
I actually call this look, "When In London" You''ll see why when you see my shirt

Gray Jeans from Whooped

Black Desert Boots from Sole Service

White "In London" T-Shirt, &
Gray coat from Bum

Swiss Expedition watch,
Rosary bracelet, &
Brown and yellow bracelets
Peace.

All in All It's Just Another Day Now

What a day! Didn't start the day well but towards the end, things got better! Finally remembered about my camera and got it back from my friend, got some good results from some tests. Got a bad one too... :( but oh well, as they say, c'est la vie.

Earlier, I was given this kind of chocolate:

it's called Beryl's Almond. It was too good that I couldn't keep quiet about this! I also saw the opportunity to use my DSLR again! What an opportunity huh? Anyway, this delicious egg-shaped almond coated with rich white chocolate tastes amazing. Unfortunately I'm not sure if they sell this here in the Philippines! I found out this was bought in Kuala  Lampur. If you see this laying around, don't miss your chance and kick yourself in the butt later, buy it!! I'm not one that usually likes chocolate on his nuts (or should I say nuts on my chocolate?) but after giving this a try, I couldn't resist.

I know what you're thinking, what kind of person would write so much about chocolate? :| Well, I'd think the same, but well, what can I say? My sweet tooth is kicking in! Again...

By the way, I'm listening to my all time favorite band, Lifehouse, right now and that's how I got my title! Just thought it was an appropriate title. (was listening to All in All). Peace.

Supersale Bazaar - July 13 - 15!

The title speaks for itself. A bazaar with items up to 90% off! What a deal huh? When I heard about this, I wouldn't dare miss this opportunity. I've checked out, "Superb" last may and "I'm Shoe in Love" a few weeks ago. Now, I don't really go to bazaar's but I was brought there by my girlfriend and I'm glad I went, was able to get a pair of nice blue sneakers from Superb and some nice desert boots from sole service when I was in, "I'm Shoe In Love." After Superb and I'm Shoe In Love, I heard about this and based from the past experiences, I thought it was going to be mostly stalls for girls...again. I wasn't wrong! Even though there  wasn't much stalls for men, I was not disappointed!

I got these two bracelets from this stall... (I can't believe I forgot the name! They had good shirts I wasn't able to get...) It was actually the first stall for guys that I saw. I liked the color combination and I was in need of some new bracelets. Got them both for P100! Not bad, I guess.

Yellow and Brown Bracelet

Red, White, Orange, Red, and Black Bracelet

I was looking for a new bag, ever since the one I had my eye on got sold out :( This is a Gaff Rucksack from Flying Dutchman. I choose this color because I could see it matching with some clothes I already had! I was kind of disappointed when I saw that Flying Dutchman ran out of size for the shoes I've been wanting to buy. Compensated with getting this bag for P999!

Light Brown Gaff Rucksack

I got this loose long sleeved shirt from, "The Bachelor Pad." I was able to land this for P150! Sweet deal!

Gray Long-Sleeved Shirt

Just before leaving, I passed by the place I got my bracelets and saw this! It caught my attention and I just wanted to get it!

White Vans Belt

I left the Supersale Bazaar around lunch time and headed off to Mall of Asia (MoA) for some lunch! MoA was still having the End of Season Sale and as much as I wanted to, I just couldn't spend anymore! Trying to save up for a turntable and some shoes I saw in Alabang Town Center! But before leaving I was able to snag this black red and white belt from the S.M. Department Store for I forgot how much... and this book called, "TH1RTEEN R3ASONS WHY" A novel by Jay Asher. I've heard this is a great book, so I decided to check it out! When I'm done reading, I'll post my own review! (It'll take awhile, I'm a slow reader!).

Red, White, and Black Belt

TH1RTEEN R3ASONS WHY Book

All in all, I'd say today was a great shopping day! Keep in touch and check out how I wear my new clothes on LOOKBOOK! I already have some outfit shots posted!

P.S. Sorry for the bad quality photos! Used my cellphone camera... Didn't get my DSLR back from my friend yet! Peace.
